The central characteristic of Type O Negative is a band possessed by the gothic, and the uncanny, the strangely romantic, and the oddly attractive. These traits are reflected in the musical atmosphere created here, and the declarative/rebellious and the unusual nature of their music.

Grounded ideas and a distinctively immediate and a recognizable sound.

The musically varied and the musically colourful, porched in the restfully defiant, and the quietly resistance.

Lucifer - Lucifer I

Female-fronted Berlin-based 70's style rock/metal. A shift of focus. Rather lovely.

The riffs on this recording are so visceral, they are so radically base and so fundamental that it feels that you are at the ground-level of a shockingly large canyon-like building, to which, you are the center of gravity in the entirety of the upbuilt in what it is, that is sheltering you. You are completely swept away, by enormity of it all.

Lucifer - Lucifer V

The music found on this album is as charming as the keyboardist/vocalist on the cover.

'Head's early days were still tempered with cool riffage and materialized with close support from the drum assembly line and even closer interweavement from the bass-man himself, with his never mistakable rough-and-tough vocal services.

Priest's early offerings were never deficient from the entire spectrum of musical attractions.
