Excellence choice, good sir. And yes, indeed, most ideal for these long winter nights. However, these days, I am rocking out with the hard rock/metal classics and have temporarily left introspective jazz to rest, for quite sometime now. Shall return to them with the natural gradations of time.

I typically throw on the Evans Trio when I'm doing a home project or reading in the evening. It creates the right atmosphere that is neither too upbeat nor too mellow. Alert but not distracted, if that makes sense.
