This is actually the one and only grind album I would buy. Haven't heard the DVD Doom song though....

That's what they call boobs, Misha. Seems like she's been automutilating a bit.

Pig Destroyer has indeed outdone themself his time. A 95 seems a bit on the low side according to me. I woudn´t say it is that extreme, it is quite harmonic and incredible well put together. Pig Destroyer fills in an empty spot in music for me. When I cannot endure Meshuggas angst and technicallity i listen to Pig Destroyer. Not as brutal and uncompromising but oh so lovely! This might be this years christmas gift nr 1 to the ones you love.

Great review Aaron. I don't know how I missed it before now.

I loved Prowler in the Yard, and I was afraid this one would be a letdown. I was dead wrong. Terrifyer owns Prowler. What an addictively psychotic album. May be the best grind album I've ever heard. I'm sure I'll catch hell for that statement from some, but I don't give a ripe fuck.

Radical Cut - You may have already said. But I'm curious, why the low score? Not trying to start a flame war, just wondering.

Prowler In The Yard is perfect. Definately a 100/100 for me.

I haven't heard this yet, but I'll definately give it a shot.

Dude, if you gave Prowler a perfect score (which I almost would), this will knock you on your ass. Bump it to the top of your "to purchase" list.

Yeah...this is probably the most comically overexaggerated review I've read on here. Sounds kind of like something you would hear Andy or that other hilarious guy say about Opeth. i.e. "every single milisecond there is something so incredibly mind-blowing and brilliant" or whatever it was.

And how the fuck does Gravedancer thrash like Dark Angel? It sounds more like Communication Breakdown.

That was Brother of Metal, I think.

And hey, I think it sounds like Dark Angel. They have a lot of late-80's thrash influence in their riffing.

I stand by my position: It fucking rules. I love the riffing, the screams, the drumming is insane (and as a bonus, free of triggers), and the songs are short and intense. Great to thrash around to. The comic overexaggeration is intentional, in case you haven't noticed, I like making people laugh when they read my reviews. Sort of a secondary concern, especially when the album is either really great or really terrible.

Everyone gotta disagree sometime.

Absolutely, its tough to accurately describle chaos like Terrifyer, so why not overdo it and have fun with it? Radical, there has to be a band that you would overexaggerate on if given the chance. If you don't like Pig Destroyer, that's fine. But do you have no appreciation for the sheer technicality of this album? I'm not saying its an absolute fact, but I love how these guys play balls out psycho metal. Its unique, and at least that deserves recognition.

By the way, Aaron, I like this style of a review. If you go crazy with the hyperbole, not only is it funny, but it also shows that you really appreciate the album. Its definitely a better guage than the standard color-by-numbers review.

Uh....okay, very well. You suck then!

Its definitely not for everyone, as was implied in the review. That is one of the great things about metal. Its the "one man's trash is another man's treasure" genre.

EYESORE - Wet Asscrack
Self-released
2005.

Eyesore's new release, Wet Asscrack, is not the opus I'd been hoping for. Indeed, his last two releases, Itching Balls and Sunburned Shoulder, found quite the large amount of time in my CD player for the sheer innovative factor on the gentleman's part (nobody's yet put out anything dealing with the same topic, perhaps they're all afraid to go toe-to-toe with him?), but this new one... it doesn't do it for me. The whole thing is limp and tepid, like overcooked asparagus. I would compare it to Metallica, for Wet Asscrack is surely Eyesore's St. Anger.

I would recommend that you not purchase this, it's terrible. For shame, Eyesore, for shame.
