Yeah, that box rules. The vinyls could look a bit better, though, especially ...Bjoergvin....

back onto the topic....

IMO , DsO – SMRS is not that great album  with simple equation , either you like it or not (and no such thing as in between) and I vote for the latter….a different in taste ? perhaps

P/S – so anyone interested to get this particular CD (mint condition, hardly give it any spin  ) kindly please address your interest to my inbox (PM) together with your tradelist , references upon request !

Thanks for the link man!! I've been meaning to check these guys out for a while... This is quite good. The vocals are a bit high in the mix in my opinion, as the music you do better if they were a little less distinct. Good album anyway.

Good link sick, this album, the new Sunn O))), Evoken, and Manegarm!! Haven't listened to them all yet, but the DsO and Evoken albums are outstanding.

Don't know if you realize it but the chorus in the middle of Carnal Malefactor of this album is in Russian, and soudns like how deacons would sing in the Orthodox church, but these guys are probably praising another Lord. With as little info as the booklet gives (none), you don't know who contributed to the choir.
Pretty massive album overall, I have to say

I'm glad to see their albums are getting reissued, as I'd like to buy them without paying double what I normally pay for an album.

Pretty massive indeed. And as I said in my review, this album is very religious sounding (not only because of the choirs). These guys are really pushing the BM envelope.

They certainly are. After downloading the album from the link I had to buy it and I have been giving it a lot of playing time since. Have any of you heard their previous albums? If 'yes' are they as good as this one?

The prev albums are nothing like this one , not even close in style or quality. Just good old bm albums, I don't find aynthing interesting about them.

They have a primitive aproach. As I said on my review, I was very surprised to see how a band could evolve so much in sucha short time and with a single step.

 It's been some time since I read the review... In that case I'll go for Kénôse first, not that I don't love good ol' primitive BM, but the sound on this one is really interesting. Thanks both of you.

NO NO NO, go rather for this one first. Kénose is somehow a harder (and somewhat worse) album then this. It almoust lacks the strong atmosphere and true killer tracks this one has.

I already have this one (and I love it). It was Kénôse vs. their older material... Thank you for your well meant advise however.
