Geez, don't hold back, Bennett, tell us what you're really thinking.

March of the Penguins. Even taken just as a scenic flick, it shits all over Baraka.

Surely will see it next week. I saw the trailer and fell in love with it. Never watched Baraka, btw.

Baraka is pretty good, kind of a cinematic summary of the planet set to music.

I'll try to find it, thanks.

March of the Penguins was so awesome (I watched the French version, don't know if it somehow diifers from the English one... The soundtrack is different I suppose. I loved the one in the French version). Never could've guessed that it would become my favourite film ever.

I've been hearing lots of good things about that. Suprising, Heath Ledger was in my books as a shitty actor.

I still think he is, one good performance in one good movie doesn't make him the next deNiro or the new Pacino...
imho, great actors are those who still give an amazing performance even in the shittiest of movies... James Woods & Tim Roth come to my mind...

What do you think of Jake Gyllenhaal? I think his sister's a better actress, he seems to do the miserable teenager act all the time.

Yes. He's also in Jarhead, The Day After Tomorrow, The Good Girl, and Brokeback Mountain.

Edit: just FYI.

I've seen him in The Day After Tomorrow (not the best kind of movie for actors performance) and Bubble Boy... and liked his performance in Bubble Boy better...

I'm planing to see Jarhead so I'll let you know... but, so far, it's still not enough to judge his skills...

True about TDAT. Good film anyway, though. I avoided Bubble Boy on pricipal alone. And Jarhead might be good, or they might go OTT with the anti-wear stuff. We'll see...

Naughty boy! Aren't they banned, or has the BBFC lifted 'em?

Umm. Anthropophagus is available in an extremely censored form under the title "Grim Reaper". Premutos and Cemetary Man are just not for sale here... I don't think it's because of bannage, because there's worse on the market. Tombs is available here, but again in a very cut form.

Mm, but isn't it illegal to have them uncut? They might have changed the law, but be careful...or am I being overly paranoid?
