The fact that he posted the PM on the boards shows that he is completely incapabale of walking away from a fight.

He apparently posted the thread with my PM in it once, Mike locked it, then he went and posted it again after that. That is actually what got him banned.

The fact that Eyesore PMed him shows exactly the same thing.

I agree completely. Let's keep in mind that you need two people to make a fight!

Erm, yes, down in flames I go. :roll: Maybe Eyesore is unwilling to let something go, but at least he had the sense to attempt to keep it private.

Of course it takes two to tango, but I'm gonna go ahead and say 'teh big V' came out of his latest ego masturbation session looking a lot worse than anyone else.

I think that Belephor made an ass out of himself, and shoul've just ignored Eyesore instead of posting his PM and continuing the argument (twice to boot). I just think that banning him was overkill.

I don't really agree with V's banning as he's a good guy, and normally willing to have a somewhat reasonable discussion about anything.. and it's not just V that could have afforded to show a little more restraint..

Had this been the ONLY thing he did, then I'd agree, banning would be overkill. Remember though, the guy had already been banned, but returned with a new username. Looking back, I guess it's my fault for giving him the benefit of the doubt when he came back. I tried to stay fair and positive, thinking he'd be different this time. He didn't exactly have a clean slate before this whole incident; far from it. This latest episode was simply the final drop of water that caused the dam to break.

When he left the site as a reviewer, it was on amiciable terms. He said that he needed time for him family and couldn't fulfill the obligations of being a reviewer. Fair enough, we all have higher priorities in life that we need to attend to. Somehow though, he had plenty of time to launch insults at this site on the forums almost daily, and sometimes personal insults at individual reviewers here. Eventually, he made a big stink in the forums (as always) basically swearing off this ridiculous and horrible site forever (stronger words were used). Wish granted; banned. So then, after swearing off the site in dramatic fashion, he shows up as V. in Helheim, still running his mouth with vile, anger, and hate about dead issues to anyone who will listen. Helheim was then made registration only, and he resurfaced as belethor. You saw the rest. I don't want to go into any more detail than that, but suffice it to say that he made a lot of enemies in the forums, and especially with the reviewers that were here at that time.

Having said all that, I should have just nipped this in the bud and stopped him when he first reappeared. It was stupid of me to think anything would have been different.

I was on the forums when he was still Valefor, and saw the whole NSBM flame war go down. Sure, the dude seems to have some anger issues, but i (among many others) still consider him a cool guy and enjoy reading his posts.

the thing that really bothers me with all this shite is that V came back well tempered and that it is Eyesore (admnistrator & moderator here) that has provocked him... and who got banned ? V !!!

I really like V. and I think he contributed a lot to the forum but the pm posting thing was not cool. He shouldn't have made a scene right away, he should have kept calm.


Anyway I'm still sad to see him go, even though he had it coming.

As usual I find Mike's arguments very reasonable and persuasive, but still I would rather V was here. Despite the fact that he said some kinda offensive things to me, and I then said much worse back ( :roll: ) it was still cool to have Belethor about. We need more opinionated people in cyberspace, y'know?

I would say that the Evanescence flameware was a bit of a tie, with both parties coming off as pretty antagonistic. I suppose that posting the PM was just a really stupid thing to do.

Political Correctness seems to be a very important value to the american posters around... let's admit V was not really PC... :roll:

Eh, I really don't think he has done enough damage to the overall well being of this forum to get banned. He just picked a fight with a mod, probably would have been ok if he had fought with someone like...me or something.
