Crap of the month
Macbeth released their first album Romantic Tragedy's Crescendo in 1998 and the result was a true disaster. Believe me, because I might have been one of the few idiot who bought this "thing". This album was everything an album should not be like. First of all the band's name is cheap, the album title was probably taken from a book or whatever, and the cover is a pale copy of Theatre Of Tragedy self titled debut album. The music was totally uninteresting and the production was very low-budget. Besides, the most important thing in a gothic metal band alternating male and female vocals is the quality of the female vocalist. Then what you would get here is total crap. I strongly believe she should take lessons or get back to the factory she used to work for.

More than 3 years later comes Vanitas, the second chapter as they mention it. This one introduces a new female vocalist and also a new male vocalist. This must be a relief, mustn't it ? Well, it's not, because believe it or not, the result with those new people is even worse. Can you believe it ? No, you CANNOT believe how much this record sucks. It's the second time I spend money for them, but it's the very last time. That kind of record makes you want to listen to raw grindcore metal because it would sound a lot better.

Pathetic. This stuff deserves the Crap of the Year skeleton.

I strongly recommend you do not check out this record because there is nothing worth in that crap. Period.
