Album of the year

The first Axxis album, and probably the best one. This album is a pure wonder of melodic heavy metal, even though it's 11 years old the sound is great and some songs actually sound like Hammerfall (or should I say some Hammerfall songs sound like Axxis classics !). From the first track to the last one, from heavy songs to ballads, everything is A-OK and even more ! This album brings back a lot of memories and I always enjoy listening to it cause that's the kind of piece that doesn't age, I'm sure I will still be listening this album in 10 years ! The vocalist (Bernhard Weiss) is amazing, he has such a voice... you may find similarities in Tobias Sammet voice (Edguy) from time to time. So ... the album start with a Living In A World which soon makes you understand you're dealing with an extraordinary album, filled with great catchy guitar riffs. But this first song is only a taste of things to come... very calm one actually. But soon the second and the amazing third song (Never Say Never) sets a standard for the rest of the album ! The chorus of the songs are wonderful and the guitar melodies stays in your mind forever ! When Never Say Never started the first time I listened to the album I didn't believe my ears... the guitars and the way Berhnard sings on this one add some magic to this song. In Tears Of The Trees, Bernhard's voice makes you feel the true meaning of melancholy ! I strongly hope the new Axxis album is like this one ! Go Axxis !!!!

Killing Songs :
All ! Never Say Never, Just One Night and Tears Of The Trees are exeptional songs !
