Aaah Mr. Eisley! THE voice of Guiffria. This original, warm and wonderful vocalist is back finally. I thought the guy disappear forever. Giuffria has released two records with this singer (may be more), before Gregg Giuffria left the band and creates House Of Lord.

Stranger From The Past, David Glen Eisley's solo album, is a truly rock record. From first to third track, Eisley's songs is full of melody and with fast rock songs compare to the whole record (we are speaking of soft hard rock "à la" Night Ranger). I am on my knees by just listening to this singer as like his vocals so much. I am wondering if I can be really objective here!

I have however some regrets about this record : why Eisley didn't recorded a heavy metal album like Rob Rock or the kind of hard rock he recorded with Giuffria? Why so many ballads? Why first three songs are totally out of time compare to the rest? May be I expected to much from that album when I received the promo and may be I like too much first two Giuffria's record.

Anyway, a good piece of rock, where Mr. Eisley shows us again he is one of the best singer of the 80's. I prefer when he is using his voice for melodic rock songs instead of ballads, but in both case if you don't know the guy, I highly recommend you to listen to this Stranger From The Past. You will understand why I like his vocal ... so much !!!
