Classic black metal the way we like it. That's what Svartahrid has got to offer. And I really see no reason to refuse that gift.

This second album of the band brings no surprise but instead delivers very well done black metal. The songs are all very fine examples of what black metal is all about: fast riffs, cold atmosphere, growling vocals and beauty emerging from the chaos. I'll admit there is nothing new in the music they play but they do it so well that I'll forget about that. The production is excellent and all the different elements easily distinguishable from the whole.

I'm judging this album on how well the band is playing a well defined style rather than originality. I really enjoyed listening to it, and that's what is really important. A very good black metal album!
