Domain is an interesting band playing 80's style Hard-Rock. Although the artcover did not give me any envy to put the CD in my player, I'm very glad I did anyway otherwise I would have missed a nice record. It once again proves that the artcover doesn't always reflect the content, but also that I would have never picked this cool CD on the shelves (there's a warning here).

So musically speaking, Domain play a very melodic, very enjoyable Hard-Rock, with good riffs reminiscent of the 80's and an intensive and smart use of keyboards. The vocals are really cool and although the overall isn't very original, it certainly is played with guts. Songs are quite different throughout the album, sometimes with a cool Rock'N'Roll feeling into them, adding a plus to the overall feeling of this album. Nice choirs, catchy melodies and nice guitar solos are simply what is required in that kind of release to make the difference. The album contains some nice ballads as well like New Horizons or When It Comes To Love.. Or the excellent instrumental ballad Gary-Boy ! The production is quite good, with a clear sound that maybe lack a little bit of power.

For all fans of Melodic Hard-Rock, this may not be the most original release (a little sense of déjà-vu from time to time) around but it's still a very cool one, give them a try ! Keep up the good work.
