Tidfall seem to be the new black metal sensation from Norway. As a matter of fact the band exists since 1992 and was for a long time totally underground. They recorded two demos: in the mid 90's entitled Tidfall and in 1998 the second demo called The Black Psychotic Darkness. With The Black Psychotic Darkness, Tidfall got a deal for their first album Circular Supremacy which was released on May 2000. Then the band headed back to the studio and did Instinct Gate through March and April 2001 recording at the Akkerhaugen Lydstudio.

Instinct Gate is a great black metal with power and intensity. The drummer, Zarthon, makes a hammering anvil double bass speed festival and it gives a good push to Tidfall's second opus. The riffs and the double bass drums make together a very brutal result without any compromise.

There are many songs like Children Of Man, The Empire Of The Empire Of The Pleasures Of Flesh, My Wrathful Eyes, The Key To The Instinct Gate, For What The Flesh Holds and Domination Complete which are some magnificent pieces of art.

So if you're looking for a nice Christmas gift for you're grandma, go for this cd as she'll probably give it back to you ... so you'll get a gift more.
