This is their second album for Music For Nation (label) and my first ever experience with this band as far as I am concerned.
Hardcore Superstar is described as pop rock'n' roll metal band. In fact, this is another Swedish band who has decided to walk the glam & rock path ! Thanks You (For Letting Us Be Ourselves) is the follow up to their debut album Bad Sneakers And A Pina Colada (released in May 2000). Actually, Bad Sneakers And A Pina Colada has been a top 10 album in Sweden and has produced three successful singles.
Commercial band ? May be. But if this is the case, what the hell is doing Hardcore Superstar with Music For Nation (Lost Horizon, Craddle Of Filth, ...). Well, the answer might come once I will push the play button.
Humm... what a bad copy of Motley Crüe. The kind of music perfectly "compacted" for MTV ... Somehow Hardcore Superstar try to sound like Kiss (Dynasty album), but this record is at a million light years away from the talent of Kiss, who was doing the same type of music twenty-years ago !!!
Hardcore Superstar's song writing is very poor and their "copy-paste" is so evident that I am wondering again how this band find its way to Music For Nation. Can you believe this guys have opened for AC/DC in Sweden and in Italy ?
Not for metal kids out there !!! Don't worry guys, we will let you Be Yourselves .... on MTV !!!
