Yup. Thing is, we've had a socialist/liberal or socialist/green coalition in government since the nineties, and the christian democrats in those governments are either absent or too willing to compromise in order to share in power with the socialists. So no political party in Belgium still defends christian tradition. Which most of you atheists (or worse) probably are happy for, but I myself am not.
This bootlicking of muslim immigrants by the left-wing has been going on for years, in other words. Crosses were banned from public buildings such as classrooms and train stations due to being too offensive to non-christians, but female muslim workers in those public buildings are allowed to wear niqabs. The centuries-old tradition of Saint-Nicholas and his helper 'Black Pete' (black from climbing down chimneys, not from being a negro) who in our country distributes toys to children as Santa does in the States etc. was modified not to include Black Pete anymore, as it might offend negro sensitivities.
And now this. Christmas is further debased into a 'winter fun' feast by the socialist mayor of Brussels, in order both to include the muslim immigrants into the merrymaking (which they won't, as they'll still keep to themselves unless they're out to cause trouble) and to further secularise and vulgarise every last bit of christian tradition that the autochthonic inhabitants of this sorry excuse for a country still cling to.
