For the longest time I actively despised this album, it wasn't as heavy, mean, or intense as Painkiller and I had to find my old copy to actually rediscover how great this is. Not as powerful as Sin after sin, but there are some truly immortal songs on this album.

Really, really good album. But one thing I'm pretty sure it's not is death metal. I mean, you have the vocals for one thing, with nary a growl to be heard anywhere. But then there's the riffs.....more thrash than death, but it's not really thrash either. Hard one to peg down. I think it gets classified as death metal just because of their older works, rather than what's actually on here.

Really good music, anyway.

A really good one, I might add. But he never growls. He gets close a couple of times.

I just listen to it as a real, mellow rock album. I'm playing my mp3 player at the bar. It's smooth enough to not offend while interesting enough to not make me keel over.
