I've decided to take a keener interest in exploring the Aussie underground scene, since there's a lot of good shit in there I've never known about. My first discovery is these maniacs, Captain Cleanoff. Anyone even remotely interested in Grind should listen to this. Don't be fooled by the Carcass parody album title, this is original, punishing, amazing Grind of the highest calibre.
That's a blast from the past. I've not heard Captain Cleanoff in 7 odd years. The last was their selftitled EP.
Volatile's another Aussie grind band I used to not mind. They even had samples from Alf off Home and Away.
Then there's Intense Hammer Rage who were phenomenal live, though boring to listen on a CD.
Good luck finding their album "Aveagoyamug" as it was banned in Australia for some really dodgy lyrics and imagery.
Funny thing is that while I used to enjoy Grind back in my early-mid 20s I can't stand it anymore aside from early Carcass and some of the early Bolt Thrower grindedque tracks.
