lol last time Benfica won anything in Europe was back in the 60's (two consecutive Champion's Leagues, though they weren't even called that back then). since then we had 5 other finals and 1 UEFA Cup final... always close, but no cigar.
actually there's a funny story - the coach that took benfica to the 2 CL wins was a hungarian called Bella Guttmann, and when he left Benfica he said that without him we'd never be European Champions again. now the motherfucker is dead, so i hope his "curse" wears off. either that or we'll never win it again, ever.
