I'm going to Sons of Anarchy after I get at least through the first season of Lost, which I admit to enjoying more than I had expected.Lost features an exceptionally large network TV main cast of about 12 people, and the way these characters' pre-crash lives are weaved in and out of the main post-crash narrative episode to episode strikes me as both highly ambitious, and often successful. Execution doesn't always meet ambition, but I'm starting to understand the crazy hype this show was getting for years. I was smugly watching HBO at the time, convinced network TV had no merit, but over time I'm learning how wrong I was about that, like never even giving Buffy or Lost a one episode chance when they were airing live.
