I can never listen to it all the way through. That doesn't necessarily mean I dislike it, because I do enjoy it before it grows old.

Unfortunately I don't really get that vibe from Meshuggah.

I suppose the only way to get that vibe is to go to Detroit or Pittsburg or other Rust Belt cities and hang out in the derelict industrial sectors.

Another good option would be big chunks of ex-Communist Russia. Plenty of decaying industry and plenty of violence if you want it.
