I'll have to try that sometime. Many moons ago someone suggested listening to this album in total darkness. I actually followed their advice and consider it the proper way to listen to it.

Focusing on a candle in a dark room works well, too.
This is the way black metal (good black metal, at least ) should be experienced, generally, as it is meant to invoke a trance-like state of disembodied mindlessness.
