stevelovesmoonspell cry of the banshee wrote I saw this album when I went to Hasting with my fiance, it was for five dollars and if I still see it I'm gonna grab it.
stevelovesmoonspell Cnote11 wroteI've heard mixed reviews about that Usurper album, what would you say about it?NP: very mediocre sadly... none of the songs really have any power

I'm sure of it.The album is best experienced while staring, all alone, of course, into a roaring fire .I'll have to try that sometime. Many moons ago someone suggested listening to this album in total darkness. I actually followed their advice and consider it the proper way to listen to it.Aye, that is good as well.Focusing on a candle in a dark room works well, too. This is the way black metal (good black metal, at least ) should be experienced, generally, as it is meant to invoke a trance-like state of disembodied mindlessness.Indeed, and I'll have to try the candle method too.I'll never forget the first time I heard that album. Must have been fall 2000, and it was basically the first black metal I ever heard. It sounded to me like it was from infernal depths of hell itself :dio: :dio: staring into fire sounds intriguing, I will try it some time.
cry_of_the_banshee Looks like its just King, Johnny (Walker, that is) and myself, all by our lonesome.
