Trying to decide if I want to get rid of this cd or not. I remember thinking it was mediocre when I first bought it and I didn't listen to it much. But now coming back to it, it doesn't sound as bad as I remember. Only complaint so far are the drums are really low and flimsy sounding compared to their other material.

These guys have really started to grow on me. At first I found the gutteral vocals a bit stupid sounding on this album, but now I just imagine a viking shield wall or charging berserker every time he opens his mouth and it actually fits really well. Will definitely be checking out their show at Wacken.

I actually discovered Maiden with this album, on release. I thought the cover art was the most awesome thing I had ever seen in my life. So I bought it, blindly.

Best money ever spent.

I was about to punch a hole through my laptop but a quick MA search revealed that the name thing isn't on the actual album cover and the name isn't among the members of the band. Probably a tribute to the dude who made the cover art.
