noodles I went to try out some amplifiers... I'm looking for a bass amp that I can also use as a brootal guitar amp. Not much success since all I did was fall in love with Epiphone Les Paul customs. THEY LOOK AND SOUND SO GOOD idk this amp seems pretty cool? Maybe I should go all out for a head/cabinet? I am bad at decisions. http://www.long-mcquade.com/?page=produ ... ctsID=1573
Legacy_Of_The_Night I wish I knew more about amps. I remember trying this Ampeg bass amp out awhile ago, and I loved it because it sounded so GOOD
C_Chulainn I've got this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0hAJktoMzvs
noodles That sounds good although the distortion is a little too crunchy for my taste... I like it when it's softer and more fuzzy. If that makes any sense. I love the distorted sound of these two, but Orange only seems to have small practice amps and then a 2000$ head as far as bass goes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWj5sB8PM-E http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWj5sB8PM-E
The_Voice I want a Framus Cobra top head but theyre so fucking expensive and i also need a new guitar.
Metalhead_Bastard I wrote a song yesterday and only succeeded in hurting my fingers, haha. Blaaah. Playing guitar is one of the best ways to let off steam.
noodles The_Voice wroteI want a Framus Cobra top head but theyre so fucking expensive and i also need a new guitar. Yeah one thing about buying a new amp is I won't have an electric bass to play on it yet.
noodles I should practice piano more. I started writing a song on it but being really bad limited what I could do quite a bit.
Speedyjx Being bad doesn't limit you that much. I suck and play keys in about 3 bands ha ha ha! I really should practice as well...
noodles I guess it doesn't really "limit" me too much, but so far writing a song has been like... 5 minutes coming up with two parts that sound good together, then an hour learning to play those at the same time.
Mintrude Here's what I play, by the way, although the one in the pic isn't mine, despite being the exact same make and colour. Sounds awful, but it's playable. I suppose that's what I get for buying a bass my friend specifically told me NOT to buy.
noodles I've been thinking for the last week that I should sit down with some scales and a metronome and work on my speed. Only problem is that it feels like a very nothing thing to do; it's not that I don't like doing it, but it's just something that makes time pass and I don't feel particularly happy about having practiced afterwards.
noodles I was replacing my guitar strings and the bridge wasn't attached so it fell off; now I'm having trouble getting it in the right place to fix the intonation. Frig.

noodles I fixed it by looking at a picture of where the bridge was on my facebook. Ampwise, all I have right now is a 10W Orange amplifier but I tried out the Crush 15 and it was pretty awesome so I'd recommend it.
Kathaarian My supposedly shitty fender squier has never once let me down. It still sounds better than guitars three times it's price. I really got lucky with this purchase. Usually the shit I buy get torn apart much sooner than they are supposed to. Even though I usually go for the high price for quality. And I haven't even broken a string. In three years. Not even once. I just realized that. What the fuck?
