Wintersun's Time I available for streaming

The Haunted guitarist and drummer quit

Guitarist Anders Björler and drummer Per Møller Jensen have left The Haunted.

Per says in a statement:

"This decision has been underway for a long time and cannot be attributed to [former The Haunted frontman Peter] Dolving's departure earlier this year.

"It's been a good 13-year stint. All in all, I have no regrets.

"My penchant for music, creating — as in digging deep — and practicing has never been at a higher peak than now. When you throw musical differences between members in with that, I started feeling unfulfilled. This is not pointing fingers at anybody, but rather just seeing, accepting and acting on that fact.

Destinity announce new album release date

French melodic death metallers Destinity will release their sixth full-length album, Resolve in Crimson, on November 20 (one day earlier internationally) via Lifeforce Records. The CD was recorded at Hansen studios in Ribe, Denmark with producer Jacob Hansen (Destruction, Maroon, Hatesphere, Illdisposed, Mercenary, Raunchy, Deadlock) and features cover artwork by Strychneen studios.

Officium Triste signs with Hammerheart Records

Dutch melodic doom/death metal veterans Officium Triste have signed a deal with Hammerheart Records and will release their fifth studio album, Mors Viri, on February 18, 2013. The CD was recorded on several occasions during 2011 at El Pato studios in Bergweiler, Germany. Ronnie Björnström at Enhanced Audio Productions did the mix and master in Sweden.

Stratovarius and Amaranthe will join forces for a "double headline" European tour next spring. The Nordic Nexus of Nemesis Tour 2013 will kick off on March 20 in Munich, Germany.

Italy's black/rock/doom metal outfit Forgotten Tomb will release its sixth full-length album , entitled ...And Don't Deliver Us from Evil, on October 30 in Europe and on November 6 in North America via Agonia Records. The CD is now available for streaming in its entirety until October 22 here.

Tiamat releases new music video

The Scarred People, the new video from Sweden's Tiamat, can be seen here. The song is the title track of the band's tenth studio album, which will be released via Napalm Records on the following dates:

The CD was recorded at Woodhouse Studios in Hagen, Germany with producer Siggi Bemm.

Destruction release new lyric video

The official lyric video for Cyanide, a brand new song from German thrash metal veterans Destruction, can be seen here. The track comes off the band's 30th-anniversary album Spiritual Genocide, which will be released on November 23 via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD was recorded at Gernhart Studios in Troisdorf, Germany with engineer Martin Buchwalter and was mixed by Andy Classen. The album features guest appearances by Thomas "Angelripper" Such (Sodom), Andreas "Gerre" Geremia (Tankard) and Ol Drake (Evile). In addition, the Mad Butcher/Release from Agony lineup of Destruction— featuring guitarist Harry Wilkens and drummer Oliver Kaiser — reunited for one song.
