This is ridiculously funny. The guy is such a bad writer.

I got to the second page , there is no way I'm reading the rest of that. It sounds like something Johnathon Davis wrote when he was 14. That doesn't seem like he was an English major at all, much less a senior one.

yeah.. i read that play yesterday along with another play he wrote.. a horrible writter... however, i don't think you can deduct anything from that shitty play, other than him being a horrible writting... lot's of famous writters/movie directors has written far more outrageous stuff.

The other play was about some boys at a casino talking shit about a defenseless old guy. Then one of the boys wins some money at a slotmachine and the old guy get's his revenge by calling a security guard claiming that the boy pushed him away from the machine just as he was about to win. So the boys get thrown out of the casino and the old guy gets some money. No killings or anything...

however, those are the two only plays released.. he might have writte some sic stuff, i dunno... but these two plays proofs nothing, imo. Only that some ppl like to interpret stuff written by a physco a little too much. The first play is about a boy who hates his stepfather and therefore tries to make him look bad in front of his mother by making false accusations, and in the end his stepfather get mad and kill him. Well, i have read far worse stuff during my time at gymnasium as a part of curriculum, which was considered to be art.

if he had written american psycho i would have been more concerned, though.

however, despite that i don't think they proof he was a psycho, they could still be under influence by his mental illness.

Quote:
Eat this, you giant tree trunk piece of ass!!!! *son tries to choke his stepfather with banana cereal bar*

that would be an instant classic if it was a movie.

The play doesn't tell anything about his mental state. That disgusting video he sent to NBC news on the other hand...

hmm.. i actually think the guy got what he wanted: attention. He's more discussed than the dead, and will continue to be. Nobody remembers the names of the dead only the psycho, cuz ppl are more interested in getting to know him rather than the dead victims. But it's natural, i guess.

I wouldn't have aired the video personally. but the media is more worried aobut making a buck than anything resembling journalistic integrity. Edward R. Murrow would be ashamed.

Me neither.

speaking of making a buck... One of the headlines on one of the tabloids here in my country stated that that he was a maniac fancying childporn (and splattermovies)... is the childporn thing even true? when i saw it though it was a ridiculous attempt to sell their story, but i could be wrong, but it's the only place i have seen so far stating so.

Wow, I haven't heard that one yet. It will take a while before any real details about who he really was start trickling out, but sensationalism sells. I'm not even sure if he had a personal computer.

It's too be expected though, I've already heard the squeals of video games being at fault, and help us if he happened to have a Metal CD somewhere. It's always like this, people want to find scapegoats for disturbed people's behavior than find out why that person is disturbed.

Ala religion, people search for answers to explain unexplainable behavior. Sadly, it seems like little could have been done to prevent this massacre---and video games, child porn and heaven help us metal certainly didn't pull the trigger.

I agree with both EI and Astaroth that releasing the tape was a bad idea. It sets back the process of healing for the injured and grieving, and makes a celebrity out of someone who never should have had a forum for their sick agenda.

i've also heard that there were another sic person who got inspired by the video that was sent to the news channel. He wants to make the killings at VT look like nothing in comparison.

It's just like as when there's documentries on the tele about child getting sexual abbused. Sometimes they show these acts on national televsision, all blurred of course. But how the fuck can they know that it doesn't have the opposite effect, that somebody all of sudden begins to get attracted to the idea of having sex with children?

That's really fucking scary. hopefully he's talking out of his ass, and if he's not they'll get the guy before it happens. On another note here in Britain, school security is really bad. There's no lockdown system or anything like that. It would be incredibly easy for someone to walk in with a gun and kill twice as many people as in VT.

the Metro Lisbon edition yesterday said that the kid could've been "inspired" by the movie "Old Boy", because of the similarity between the pics he took with the hammer.

ridiculous.

Agreed that it is ridiculous. Lets kick a good movie down while we are at it. This guy was inspired only by his own crazy, sick mind.

Well, he did see the movie repeatedly that week, and he held the hammer in the exact same position...

i'm not saying he wasn't a fan of the movie or something like that, but at worst i think it was only the trigger (just as a song or some other violent(ish) movie could've been). if he wasn't completely fucked up in the first place he wouldn't have done it.

+1

The point is he would have done it eventually anyway. And there are way way more violent movies than Oldboy.
