whoa! fuck me! this website really is something special. had some nice reading just now!
anyways, didn't NM have an album with [n]88[/b] songs? 8 = h; 88 = HH, HH = Heil Hitler (that's what a black metal fan said on another forum anyway). if so than at least NM, among the NSBM bands, are believers in that... er.. philosophy. and, therefore, they wouldn't have any qualms about putting their ideals into practise [and since that is more a practical thing rather than a belief].
as for the lyrics affecting the listening when i don't agree with them, i don't really know, as usually i listen before i see the lyrics, and when i listen i never liked them. it never happened to me to listen to something, like it, and find out that it is NS. if it happened, though, i believe one can't fight narrow-mindedness with narrow-mindedness, and a true show of tolerance would be to accept what is being transmitted, regardless of its stance against oneself.
and not being white myself, i have asked myself - would i go see them live? would i buy an album?
Quote:
Many placed the blame for Germany's misfortunes on those whom they perceived, in one way or another, to have sabotaged the goal of national victory. Jews and communists became the ideal scapegoats for Germans deeply invested in a German Nationalist ideology, for they were seen as the minority that could weaken a civilisation, through dissimulating the unite.
100% agreed.
and Seinfeld, my reasons for not being religious have nothing to do with the music. in fact i daresay you won't find that level of stupidity in this message board at all.
as for the racist lyrics being seen with different eyes than, say, usualy death metal lyrics, you have to see here that racism is real and trully wrong, offensive and harmful. some guy screaming about death is tongue-in-cheek and only harmful when put into practise, which you know it is not meant to be.
of course, if they keep it at that (mere belief), i don't care. everyone has the right to believe in whatever they want. things go wrong once these ideas are forced on others, and as far as i know, NS is all about actual practise.
