The one song I've heard (Beginning of the End?) had some serious faggotcore vocals dragging it down. I just couldn't get my head around it. I guess I should maybe give them a chance.

I don't actually mean 'core vocals - just when he's singing "The begiiiiiiniiiing of the eeeeeend!" he sounds like he's about to burst into tears.

No wonder this CD sounds so awesome, Andy Sneap mixed it! This is what the band said about the lack of harmonies on this one (although that's a relative statement because there are plenty on this one):

Quote:
"For this album we kept some things a bit more stripped down. Now we won't have 5 vocal harmonies going at once. The band decided that we want to sound more like we do live, so we stuck to 2 part vocal harmonies. It still sounds killer though and I'm sure people will dig the new melodies. Stu did a great job singing on this album. He has 5 different voices that he can change back and forth from. Wait to you hear some of the notes he hits"

I'll be honest, right now I can't find anything wrong with this album! This album is a 95/100 if it isn't a 100/100.

I also dig the artwork. Travis Smith is my favorite, but Mattias Noren is my second favorite. So many people copy Travis that it's annoying, Mattias, however, has his own unique style where you usually immediately know it's him. He seems to love blues and purples, too. It would have been so easy for him to go down that Travis Smith path, but he chose to find his own style, which is really cool. Travis and Mattias are easily the two best out there doing shit for metal bands, Niklas Sundin from Dark Tranquillity is probably next in line, though he's a lot like Travis.

Three tracks in and I'm with Ken on the rating (of the first three songs). Hopefully the rest is this good.

This album is awesome, not as awesome as the 2 before but still a contender for the top 5 this year.

I am not an Elitest prick, I just don't like gay shit like this.....sorry guys. I like Mercenary, they are like the same band except they have a good vocalist and can write good songs.

Mercenary is gayer than Into Eternity. And I like them both.

He's a damn good producer/sound dude. All of the CDs he does sound great.

Indeed. My favorite producer is Waldemar Sorchyta. That dude rules. Dan Swano and Devin Townsend would also be killer if it were their full-time gigs.

No the Dead and Dreaming experiance was enough for me.

Then you should maybe be a bit more specific with your criticism. This new album blows that one away by a mile.

Listen: TIMELESS WINTER

I am def not buying it now because you guys are being dicks. Good job Ken, another album I won't buy because you pissed me off. Buy two copies for the band to make up for it.

I am not even going to listen to your sample now.

How's he being a dick? He gave you a sample so you could hear what the new album sounds like. Yeah, some dick...

P.S. That song is awesome. It's so hard to pick a favorite off that album though.
