No wonder this CD sounds so awesome, Andy Sneap mixed it! This is what the band said about the lack of harmonies on this one (although that's a relative statement because there are plenty on this one):
Quote:
"For this album we kept some things a bit more stripped down. Now we won't have 5 vocal harmonies going at once. The band decided that we want to sound more like we do live, so we stuck to 2 part vocal harmonies. It still sounds killer though and I'm sure people will dig the new melodies. Stu did a great job singing on this album. He has 5 different voices that he can change back and forth from. Wait to you hear some of the notes he hits"
I'll be honest, right now I can't find anything wrong with this album! This album is a 95/100 if it isn't a 100/100.
I also dig the artwork. Travis Smith is my favorite, but Mattias Noren is my second favorite. So many people copy Travis that it's annoying, Mattias, however, has his own unique style where you usually immediately know it's him. He seems to love blues and purples, too. It would have been so easy for him to go down that Travis Smith path, but he chose to find his own style, which is really cool. Travis and Mattias are easily the two best out there doing shit for metal bands, Niklas Sundin from Dark Tranquillity is probably next in line, though he's a lot like Travis.
