Just one thing. It's not his debut album, they published two before, Images of dispair in 1999, Genesis in 2002. I just have listened the second one, and was an interesting listen. I have to try this one.

Very Meshuggah-esque, eh? I'm checking the sample as I speak. Further clips on their site.

Wow, very Meshuggah indeed. If you like Meshuggah, the chances are you'll like this!

I sent Jason an e-mail on this last night, but I don't think he's read it yet. There's also a demo out there, too. With that said, this album is their best, much better songwriting, not as rough around the edges.

INBORN MECHANICS
ISOLATED THROUGH MULTIPLICITY

And Zademboweller, they're better than Messhugga, much more dynamic and interesting.

I already linked to that first MP3, there. And no, they're not.

So? My link is in CAPS and bolded (i.e. better). As for Messhugga, I find them to be dreadfully boring and repetitive, you can only play the same riff so many times before it gets lame. Coprofago are dynamic where Messhugga meander through the Land of Boooooore.

Contradictions Collapse came out in 1991, perhaps it's time we told 'em.

this isn't bad though, I wouldn't say it was better than Meshuggah but it's interesting.. they're probably better at the very early thrash style but I likes Meshuggah for their experiments. if Coprofago make their own Catch 33 I may want to know about it.

holy shit, thats kinda embarassing. For some reason i was under the impression that this was their first album when i "researched" them a few weeks ago.. anyways i'll make some corrections.

I would like this album more if there wasnt such a clear division between their Meshuggah songs and their Prog/jazz songs. Maybe if they mixed them together to make something awesome or something... then again they sort of did that on Genesis and it was kinda lame. Maybe they should just ditch their Meshuggah worship and go all out jazzy :P

I agree with that. Everything on this album flows well but there is quite a big division... i don't think they would be able to really reconcile this gap unless they filled it with some other influence that isn't quite as hard as the Meshuggah-ish stuff or light as the jezzy stuff

I hear a lot of Cynic with this band, musically anyway.

With that kind of name I would have expected a Grind band. Coprophagy is a mental disorder, those suffering from it eat their own feces.

Maybe its time I check out Meshuggah. I've been getting into the more technical stuff lately, and then I'll check this band out.

Dude, Messhugga gets a lot of love, but download some shit first. I find them to be extremely boring and repetitive, riffs played over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over...zzzzzzzzzz...snoooore...zzzzzzzzzz...snoooore... zzzzzzzzz...fart...zzzzzzzzzzz...mmm...Carnifex...snoooore...zzzzzzzzzz...
