No problem. That's the reason we write reviews, so that you can discover new music, and that killer bands get the exposure they deserve.

In that case you should check out Australasia.
Australasia > The Fire in our Throats... in my humble opinion..

Bah, people just like Australasia better 'cause they don't like post-rock.

If you like post-rock, The Fire... is the better album.

Hmm, you might be right a little, but it's not like The Fire is influenced by post-rock, it basicly IS post-rock. Maybe a bit heavier than normal and with a slightly unconventional guitar sound, but if you like this album, you like post-rock.

You'll notice that I never said it was influenced by post-rock. I merely said that if you liked post-rock, you'd like it better.

So... yes, I agree with you, because it's just rounding out what I already said.

Yes, exactly what I mean you said. But this is like saying this about Iron Maiden: "if you like NWOBHM, you'll like it better". Which is a little weird to say. I may be doing some antfucking here, but I think you get what I've been trying to say: If you like this record, you like post-rock, because it is post-rock, not necessarily the other way around. Eh, never mind.

Misha, you're fucking the ants to death here. Seriously. At this rate, the next picnic on this spot will be completely undisturbed by them tiny six-legged vikings.

Besides, Pelican weren't always a total post-rock band, they changed from one album to another. As such, it's a good idea to note which album has more post-rock in it, or which one is just post-rock with a heavy guitar tone.

I stand by what I said as accurate.

Yeah, forget it, I'm still right though, but forget it, it's not important.

I don't know anything about post-rock, I just know I like 'em.

Now, just because I said 'I don't know anything about post-rock' doesn't mean you have to list about 10 bands I should listen to.

Not at all.. I like post-rock, but I still think Australasia is better than The Fire... I can't explain why.. Anyway it's a small difference. I think I'll rate this one 80% and Australasia 85% or something like that.
