Are they black churches? If so, it was almost certainly racist-motivated, and I can't condone it. If not, then maybe there are some brain cells in the American south...

Yeah I'm begining to wonder if there is some BM connection since it has been white and black churches. The only other explaination I can think of is the arsonists hate Bapists in particular, since every torched church has been Bapist.

Not necessarily. There's more Baptist churches than fleas on a hound down south. Speaking from experience.

I used to live down south myself. Not every southern church is Bapist, just most. I can't really think of another non-BM explanation, can you? Maybe these guys are just showing off and don't want to kill people so they figure churches in the middle of the night is a good way to make sure nobody dies.

However, I think their ire is misplaced. I personally wouldn't mind seeing a mosque in flames however naive such an act would be. If you want to bring down religion, throw some culture bombs at 'em.

I'd like to see someone smear every inch of surface inside a church with vaseline, then coat it in breadcrumbs. But that's just me.

True, but they're plentiful enough that it's not unreasonable a random church arsonist would hit all Baptist churches. Of course, maybe it's someone with a grudge against Baptists. I know we'd all immediately think of a bm connection, but that's not necessarily the first thing the rest of the world would assume. Given that nothing is known about these arsonists, I'm hesitant to say it's bm-related.

It's very unlikely to be BM, as much as we want it to be. Probably just a couple of fucknuts who get their kicks setting things on fire.

In my town there is a church on every corner, mainly Baptist. Oddly, enough, across the street from said churches, is usually a Liquor Store. Oh the irony.

So, burn the churches and leave the Liquor Stores!
