Just so everyone knows, once and for all, that was self-depreciative. No-one was hurt by that, except me, by the larger part of the forum's inability to take a joke. And that's all that will be said on the matter (by me, anyway).

That's actually a very good idea. And it would not make the people post less, discussions on IRC are usually of a different nature. If anything, it will make the forums more active, I think.
