Not bad at all :), but not extremely good either. Pelican pwns this in the genre of drony post-rock, and although the Red Sparowes are not as heavy as this (less bass) they destroy this song in every aspect. But hey, it's the Red Sparowes goddamnit! The buildup is not really well crafted, but the climax is great. I can't see how this is metalcore, really. I think an album with a song like this should get no less than 65, if the rest is a bit close to this track's quality, I'd agree with a 70 or 75.
The rest is like a poppier version of that Isis style sludge, they're the only band in that style that I've heard use verses and choruses. Their singers are really good though, perfect for the genre... I think the album deserves 70-80 and that writing a review of the album without mentioning Isis or Neurosis is just plain wrong...

and I'll retract my "better than Red Sparowes" statement, just listened to At The Soundless Dawn and it is too godly

Agreed, the reviewer needs to listen to more music that isn't generic metal. He didn't get the point of this album.

NO?! Then I take back my words, as I haven't heard this album yet...

yeah, the Home track comes on a seperate EP I think. I definetly agree that it's better than all the song-oriented stuff on the actual album, by far..

"Home" is on a second CD by itself. It's a limited version, but I'm assuming since this band will likely not sell well the limited version will kind of defy it's description. Hehe.
