That good? I'll have to get this at some point, so far I own Accelerated Evolution and Terria by the man and love them both.

I think it's pretty much impossible for Devin to make a shit record. This is no exception.

94/100

I did not understand that part of Alien. Is that another band? or is it another record from Devin Townsend? Can someone please explain?
Thanks

Alien was the last album done by Strapping Young Lad - Devin Townsend's other band.

He has another band called Strapping Young Lad, which made a record called "Alien".

Un - F'n - Believably awesome.

Devin can do no evil. Shit record not a possibility, mediocrity a high unlikeliness.

Vampira slays. Triumph leaves ya speechless with epic countrymadness. Vampolka makes ya dance on the ceiling. Let It Roll lulls you to heaven. The whole things is beyond friggin magnificent.

"This just in: God walks the earth in the form of an insane, balding, prodigal Canuck!"

HevyDevy rules! Sunshine and Happiness for all!

What Aleksie, and everybody else, said. If you enjoy music, you must buy this album.

Well, yes. Everything to the effect of "I want to have Devin Townsend's children." Note that this is not meant literally.

Sorry!

Somehow, I knew what that was even before I clicked on it.

Absolutley, album of the year for me. I fucking love it! I disagree with the notion that "Vampolka" and "Mental Tan" are filler tracks. I hear a lot of complaints about "Vampolka" because it's strange, but that's what makes it so good...it's unexpected. And had Devin just included that in the song "Vampira" and not split the two I don't think people would be complaining so much. And "Mental Tan" is just a nice, short instrumental. They're both good, though, they add to the overall feel of the album.

Yes, whole album is unbelievably strong and taking those two tracks away wouldn't affect the album, but that doesn't make them filler. You could take "Vampira"—one of Devin's best songs ever—off the album and it wouldn't affect the album. It's THAT good!

Devin is the fucking man!

I've got an edited version of Vampira on a Terrorizer disc, about 3 minutes long. How long's the full version?

Weirs. Wonder why it says it's edited. Must be a mistake....

Anyway, good song, but I wouldn't call it his best. Perhaps a bit too radio-friendly? *ducks*
