Digipacks are the cardboard slipcases you sometimes get instead of jewelcases.

If I've understood the question. :?

That's fucking shit! I thought it was some kind of thing superior to your average cd! Do you mean those cardboard slipcases that go over the jewel case, or literally all carboard, like the Burzum cds flying around nowadays?

Yeah, you'd think from the name that there was something more high tech about "Digi-packs". Like you can use them to pick up BBC Parliament or something.

Double-digipacks are cool tho! :)

Allthough, I prefer jewelcase CDs with clear trays and awsome artwork, :]

NO! No cookie for you!

I've got a couple of double digipacks, '...and Oceans - The Symmetry Of I - The Circle of O" is pretty sweet.

I've been looking for that one for ages! It's the double cd where the second one holds 'Higher Levels of Mikrobotik Fields', right? I'm a huge ...and Oceans fan, so is there any chance you could put these up on Turboupload or something? You'd get my eternal servitude in return. (Or one of my own albums up for download).

the CD's come with extra contents, though, i think.

but yeah, i don't see why they can't come in jewel cases anyway.

in a metal rant somewhere here Ben (i think) says it's because the cardboard cases cost less to make.

Yeah, I can upload that album if you want it. I'll fix that tonight.

"...and Oceans" are awsome, wierd as fuck, and awsome. They've changed name though, apparantly they're called "Havoc Unit" nowadays. Sad, I liked "...and Oceans".

My AC/DC If You Want Blood...You've Got It and Burzum Hvis Lyset Tar Oss cds are digipacks, and I have to be careful with them, otherwise the ends will curl up and shit-they do look quite cool though.

Weird, my copy of Blood Inside's booklet smells funny, almost chemically. Not a digipack.

What?! What's your source on this? I've only heard that they had the basics for four songs done, and that was on their new website, which I last checked about a month and a half ago. That bit of news had been there for half a year or sth.

Still, they're one of my top 3 favourite bands of all time, and if I have to name one album that's perfect from start to finish, it would be Symmetry of I - Circle of O.

There's nothing worse than the little plastic things that hold the CD breaking on a Digipack. :? At least with a jewel case you can replace the cover.

The ordinary ones are just plain useless but the points go up if there's something else besides the cd and the booklet. If those are the only things inside then I'll prefer the jewel cases.

By the way, about replacing the covers, some bands print their logo on the jewel case itself. For example Nightwish - Once, and Finntroll - Nattfödd, at least the ones which I've seen. Of course it looks cool in a way but it sucks if you break them.

Like old books! There is no smell better than that! Well, maybe the smell of summer rain in the evening... or "something" else...
