Wow, I got Rusted Angel and the Time Requiem cds from that sale months ago, I figured they'd be gone by now.

I know, I got Rusted Angel and Eucharist months ago also, and I thought it was a week long clearance or something like that. I've been debating on getting one of the Time Requiem CDs. Which one is better?

I like the new one, Inner Circle of Reality. It's more memorable and has quality songs on it. I haven't been able to get into the s/t yet. The first one is either not as good, or just a tougher nut to crack...time will tell.

Now that I think about it, I got The Inner Circle Of Reality for $5.50 a long, long time ago! I got it when NESS posted that Opus Atlantica thread way back in the day. They have a lot of those albums then.

I agree with RC, but I don't know if Time Requiem will suit your taste afeigel.

Why do you say that?

Prog/Power focusing heavy, HEEEAAAVY, on keys in the vein of Yngwie Malmsteen. Give it a shot though, I love it.

How does it compare, in keyboard focus, to Jon Oliva's Pain? I love that album.

Not even comparable. Jon Oliva's Pain is piano, this is keyboards like virtuoso shit, in fact, that's what style Time Requiem pretty much is, virtuoso metal, but it's really good. It doesn't come off as self-indulgent because the songwriting is great. Generally this sort of style has great musicianship, but the songwriting doesn't hold up (see a lot of Yngwie's shit).

Give it a try, both albums are worth the $5.50. Plus Peter Wildoer is on drums, that dude is amazing!

EDIT: Try these:

THE INNER CIRCLE OF REALITY
MILAGRO'S CHARM

EDIT AGAIN: Richard Andersson is a twat. Those clips do the band no justice, all it does it show off his keyboard work. Nothing like showcasing some vocal work, or guitars or whatever. No, just show that you can masterbate on your keyboards. Pffft! Fuck you, Richie!

Fuck you Kennie! Richie happens to be one of my favorite keyboardists.

He is a killer keyboardist, but he's showing off HIS shit with those clips when he should be showcasing the band, the song, not his noodling.
