I'd have to say Patton. Devin's stuff is good, no doubt about it, but it does get a bit repetitive, once you're used to his voice. Mike goes completely in different directions, and has so much stuff out there everyone's sure to find something they like.

Townsend. What I've heard of Patton's stuff doesn't grab me like Devin's did (and does).

DT because he makes consistently good music, like I said in the Synchestra thread.

With Patton's range of styles also comes an extreme range of quality and listenability, and in my opinion he doesn't make up enough of a difference to be worthy of so much praise.

Townsend, for same reasons as Rio

Patton, because of all the awesome stuff he's done. The sheer volume of his stuff is better than all the Devin records I've heard when stacked up against them.

The way I look at it, it's a completely unreliable goofball (patton) vs. a fairly reliable goofball (Towsend).

But feel free to continue to describing them in ways that allow you to chime in with your opinion again and again when you aren't satisfied with everyone elses.

Reliable as in, yes, look how mad I am.
