Lord Zad made a good suggestion, and since it has been a while since I put it up to a vote, I think it's safe to say another lyrical/poetry contest is in order. Besides, if I don't start this thing now, people will just keep selecting the gay option. Up to 6 already... Rather disturbing.

Alright, so I'm looking for at least 20 people to join up! The rules are the same as last time: every 2 days is a match, one day for the two current combatants to post a single poem/set of lyrics, and one day for everyone to vote on their favorite. Time will be watched closely, and fair will remain fair.

Your ability to win will be based on how original, whimsical, funny, mysterious, artistic, etc... you can be. Themes should be metal influenced. Lyrics to your own imaginary song. Or even, lyrics to a song you love, but hate the words to. It's all up to you. Just make it your OWN work. If you wish to make things more 3-D, feel free to create album art, as much as you want.



Basic, but now, I want to speak on the contests other big changes that'll make it that much better for round two. First, seeding. Gast, Valefor, Carnifex, Dead Machine, and TIE are all in the 1 win club. Valefor is gone, but TIE won an reserve (for fun) match, so he'll take Valefor's place. Dead Machine and Gast are in the 2 win club, and Gast is alone in the 3 win club. Thus, if everyone of the four remaining five comes back, they'll be ranked and seeded as thus:

1. Gast
2. Dead Machine
3. Carnifex
4. TIE

You guys don't need to come back, but I hope you all do. You gain some level of special treatment this time around, but it's not for you, it's for the people coming in for the first time. Let them hone their skills before taking a shot at the toughie's from last time. Also, it makes things more exciting, so just come back!!!

The other big change is the prize. For the winner, there's a prize of sorts. A 'free one' on me, within reason, $30 or less. That's an album, now. Or maybe a band shirt. Anyway, the real big news is that the winner also gets a real life autographed photo or yours truly.... So now that you know how big the stakes really are, Join. You know you want to.

Competitive writing exists, sir. Happens more than you'd think, too. But, anyway, it's just for fun... seriously, what's there to lose other than a good time by not being in all the way? Plus, if you win, you get a free CD! But, I'm not gunna beg ya.

Yes, I'll participate; sure, OFC can join in if needed; March is fine; see if there's anyone interested in being an official judge first, as if there's no serious interest it should go to the mob once more; and, as I am not gay, I did not, in fact, select that option.

Rap is fine... rap-like stuff has been in metal before, why not now? Variance. That's the spirit!
