i'm a real fan of comics and sometimes even the (in my opinion) quite freaky japanese ones. anime movies and series are enjoyable as well. i used to watch this show(think it was Samurai X) all the time. but one thing makes me want to grab our asian friedns by the neck and snap it: hentai, it's really really sick

Im definately guilty. I still like the occasional anime, I like cowboy bebop and lupin the 3rd alot, thanks to adult swim for exposing more anime.

Good black metal owns..to bad most of it is gay though, especially that suicide black metal band that was posted here. I thought my suicide black metal was better.

OK, going to give some thoughts on the stuff I finished watching (mainly it's for anime newbs like myself, because all of this is very well-known to real anime fans):

Cowboy Bebop TV series: A very easy-going anime. It has a few dramatic parts, but those aren't really tensing you up. Recommended to anyone who wants to have fun spending a few evenings.

Blood: The Last Vampire: It's beautifully painted, but seriously lacks a story background. It is also too short - it's over before you even understand what's happening. But I think that's where its true beauty lies. Besides it's one of those anime which don't fail in making an interesting story about vampires. And one of the creators is Mamoru Oshii.

Fullmetal Alchemist TV series: It starts as a quite childish anime, but later becomes as depressed as the NGE (Neon Genesis Evangelion) series were: a lot of speaking with a lot of underlying themes. The creators surelly want to make people think despite such a funny childish tone. Also the large amount of series can be a pain in the neck, but I think it's worth it.

Just saw Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind for the second time yesterday & its amazing as is most (haven't seen all of their stuff, thats the only reason I used the word most) Hayao Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli's work. Seriously! I usually bash anime as well, but these motherfuckers know what they are doing.
