ARG!! You never confirmed!

Okay, hold on... lemme straighten things out with Radagast. You can maybe replace him, OR I can put you in a rat-tail on the bottom half of the bracket. But, you'll be in no matter what, so don't fret.

Ok, I'm fucked for time over the next few days and I've got next to nothing written. Just put the rat-tail match in place of my round. :(

Okay, here's my idea. Pete, Lizardtail... you guys have both sounded off that you already got stuff written. Well, I don't want Radagast to feel like he has to sit this out because of time constraints. Would you both consider doing a rat-tail match where the winner of you guys goes on to face him in round one? It'd require a little extra work, but it'd also allow for our friend to jump in and go nuts with us.

Then Author could take his place, and so on and so on...

Lemme know ASAP dudes, because I gotta get the dates organized ASAP so there's no confusion.

I have mine written. If it helps Radagast stay in the competition I'll go.

Noted, and thank you. If Radagast truly wants out, maybe nothing will have to change at all. But, part of me thinks he's confused. I hope he knows he has well over a week before he needs to have anything done.

I'll sit this one out. I've got roughly 12 hours to myself in the house this week in a state of consciousness, and that includes having to take care of all those damn hastles like eating and personal hygene.

Maybe next time.

2 new judges for later rounds, and Aaron vs Stefan is on, discuss all about it!

Aaron wrote a poem, not lyrics. Rhythm is unnecessary.

By saying that, you have made clear that you know nothing about poetry.

...he's published three books of poetry.

Then he should know that rhythm and cadance are vital to a poem.

I'm not going to get into a blistering argument over this. Your comment does apply to poetry, but not all poetry. Haikus, senryus, tankas, that sort of metered poetry, but it does not apply to all.

I saw a man pursuing the horizon;
Round and round they sped.
I was disturbed at this;
I accosted the man.

"It is futile," I said,
"You can never—"

"You lie," he cried,
And ran on.

This is one of my favorite poems, but where is the rhythm? It flows, sure, but there is no defined rhythm here, yet it is still poetry.

That was a cool poem! Great selection...

I agree. Poems with rhythm can be amazing and all, but rhythm REALLY isn't the only way of life in poetry. Though sometimes, it belongs. It depends not on the writer, but the poem, and the approach. I like the idea of using both when you feel either is necessary.

As for me, honestly, I prefer complete lack of all structure. Though, as you've seen in my poetry, sometimes I can't help but throw a little rhyme in here and there. I really don't like clinging to any philosophy, so I just use both as much as a I feel like doing.

LOL, I almost wanna switch brackets around so you two can have a grudge match in the first round... But, I'm excitable. Must restrain... self.
