Eyesore, my opininion is that their best is Light Of Day, Day Of Darkness. Just one song in the record
.
The other two, Journey To The End Of The Night and A Blessing In Disguise, are too recommended, in this order.

I found The Quiet Offspring a solid album, but it's the less interesting of their discography of a great band.

Cool. I'll definitely have to check out their previous albums.

Wow! I just finished my second listening of this album and it's...I don't know...beautiful? Does that cut it? I think it does. Not sure what else can be said, it's virtually flawless, a stunning piece of art.

I just got this album and The Quiet Offspring today. I listened to The Quiet Offering once and it didn't strike me as anything special, good, but nothing mind-blowing. This album, however, is fucking brilliant! How are their other albums? Recommended?

"Light of Day, Day of Darkness" is a mastodont of an album. Really enjoyable, but sometimes hard to listen to as it is 60minutes, and only one track.

"A Blessing in Disguise" is amazing, solid rock. Personally I really enjoyed "In the Woods" more than GC, but there's not much to do about that now...:/

To be honest I find Light of Day to be a bit of a piss take. 60 minutes that would be so much better if it was broken down into tracks. There are some great moments in there, but the filler is mandatory listening, not just something you can skip. As it is, 50% of that 60 minutes is just stuff I can't remember at all. The best part is really the opening 5 minutes.

I have this album on my iRiver, but for some reason haven't listened to it much yet. I'd better get acquainted with it before I criticise GC any further...

hmmm GC don't really appeal that much to me... sure I like listening to the music but I don't (notice the contraction) find them as touching a band to me as say, Sonata Arctica (who really got me into metal) or the Beatles (the beatles are so underrated in the metal community... all the great melodies and the distorted guitars on revolution signify the birth of metal in my opinion. One of my music teachers always said that the White Album was the first metal record). anyway, GC are great, but I dunno... the high score seems a bit exaggerated...

I agree. I only managed to listen to the whole thing once, on the train from Milan to Padua... it was kinda boring..

This album got a little dull rather quickly. It's good, but not as good as I hoped...
