If you want a fancy design, and easy using, get iPod. If you want high sound quality, get iriver.

I've got a foto 60 gb ipod and it's full up. i've got like 9500 songs on it that I don't have on a computer or harddrive anywhere else because my computer crashed at a certain point. If u get an ipod (wich i don't necessarily recommend, even though they ARE nice) be sure to get some extra padding. Mine's falling apart after a year and i don't know if they can fix it without deleting the songs... But make sure its protcted against falls.

Can't you put the songs from your iPod back on your pc? That truly sucks!! You can't use it as a memory-stick then.

u can use ipods as a hard drive, but any songs on it in harddrive mode can't be listened to, and take up space anyway. the songs u put on in ipod mode can be listened to, but can't be put back on the pc. yes, that does suck.

Indeedlydo... That seems one more reason why I have an iriver... I can give other people music easily...

Well, that depends, you can buy 60 gig ones but also 5, like mine. By the way, if you want to save your music, there a lots of programs available for the iPod to have it do what you want. I'm sure there's also the availability to make sure you can write your songs back on you HD.

i ahve a 20 gb sony nw-hd1. it has to change all songs into its own special format, sonic stage makes me want to kill myself, it turns off randomly but its small, is only halfway full with 5000 songs on it and has good sound quality even though it only lets me use 64kbps
