If Dani Filth and Neil Turbin were put in a blender.... :o

The music is actually halfway decent though. 10/100 = harsh.

Right, and they get a 10 for it.

It's awful. Moan time: did they send this to you? It'd have been kinder to not have reviewed it. That way, you do the band a favour, and us , as something GOOD could have gone up instead! Come on, no-one would have got this anyway...

Yes, they sent it, so it gets reviewed. I reviewed four albums this week, you have plenty to choose from. :) And yes, it is a horrible album. I would like to have focused on the positive stuff, but there was nothing but a scrap.

I agree with Rad, the music wasn't that bad, but horrible production and the WORST VOCALS EVER made for a painful listening experience :x Holy shit I almost crapped my pants when the guy started to "sing" on One Night's Chivalry.

I'm hearing a lot of fuzz, is that the mp3 quality or is it really the production?

That is exactly what you hear on CD, my friend. :(

Oh my.

Untight shitty music, generic boring riffs, shite sound, and the most horrid Dani Filth wannabe on vocals.

Break up allready!

.:crast:.

Wow. Those vocals suck something horrible. You're not Dani Filth, kid, stop pretending to be.

Plus the music is sloppy sloppy sloppy.

The production totally blows too. Y'know there are some genres that don't benefit from a shitty production... Namely, anything that isn't minimalistic Black Metal.

The actual music isn't that bad, but it just could've been sooo much better with the help of a good production, tighter playing, and a vocalist who doesn't sound like he's giving himself a hernea. And that's no good.

I was almost mad because I interrupted good music to listen to this, but it falls into the "so bad it's funny" category. The vocalist reminds me a bit of a local (northern Virginia) band called Cataclysmic Avatar. Why do people feel the need to imitate Dani Filth? His voice has its place, but I think he's the only one who can pull it off.

Is this a Dani Filth imitation? Man, I'm no CoF fan, but I never cringed at his vocals. This vocalist is just ridiculous. If this were spoof metal, or something, if the band's name was Man's Evil Panda Bear or something like that, then maybe I'd have taken it a little more lightly, but this is a serious band by all acounts. Unforgivable.

It's a bad Dani Filth imitation. I like me a little CoF now and again, but I admit his vocals start to get weary after a while. When other people do it badly, though...eugh.

Funnier then Skyforger's vocalist, and i was in tears when i heard that!! still, it doesn't come close to the ultimate comedy of st anger. i think its the fact this is a serious attempt at "music" that makes it so funny!! 10/100 harsh??? please, indluge me with something that deserves 10 so i can hear true crappery.

Well look, 10/100 = 1/10, which means its a single mark above being a blank tape. 1/10 suggests they managed to record something with no qualities whatsoever other than surviving the transition from microphone to tape - and as I've said, I think some of the music is halfway decent, so obviously a little higher than 1/10.

ok, fair enough. when you put it like that mabye it is a little harsh, but i can't see it being far off the mark! i suppose i'd have to hear the rest of it to really judge it, but thats never going to happen. ever.

You heard two songs. Some of the music is decent, but not enough.

i find it very amusing that my demo has evoked so much emotion out of alot of people whether its postive or negative, and thats obviously the truth because you people are still talking about it. now the real horrorshow recording process was done in all of an hour and a half being a band with little to no money we couldnt afford the best production in the world every song on that recording was recorded live and in one take with the exception of the instrumental which was done in two takes, the band had no part whatsoever in the mixing process, and thats just the reality of the recording. the vocals didnt turn out at all how i wanted them i didnt want it to be as piercing as they are on the demo lack of reverb on the vocals and gain on the guitar makes for a tinny sound. we learn as we go this is the second recording we have ever done and we are recording again this summer with more money and better songs. i use a wide range of vocals and im hardly copying dani filth (dani who????) the band isnt gonna break up sorry. i sent it in for review because i wanted to see what some people thought, i got their input and you learn from that. and to the reviewer thanks for your time i appreciate it, but music isnt about reviews or what reviewers think journalism died with hunter thompson. until next time.

matt
vocalist - Man's evil (panda bear)

p.s. i like getting funny quotes in reviews it makes for really funny show fliers
