I must say that this review has gone totally over my head, because I am too puny minded to comprehend nu-metal. I'm ashamed to say I dismissed this band out of hand because I am so arrogant in my own tastes.

Where's the capital at the start of your sentence? That sort of thing really pisses ME off.

Why did you use capital letters to emphasize a word? That really pisses me off.

My parents were murdered by an itallicised pronoun. I'll thank you to be more sensitive in future.

So you tried the samples with an open mind, thinking, "I may just like this!"?

Yes, actually. I do like Evanescense, and some nu-metal is bearable. This did nothing for me, and I'm putting more effort into it than most people would, as you said. Why bother at all? Surely record companies aren't still hawking nu-metal in this day and age? Or are we facing The Revival, as I predicted would happen once people got bored with metalcore?

Should I fix the bad link to "After The Rain" now?

Might help. I would have mentioned it...

Sure. Had you listened to it you would have mentioned it considering you said you listened to the "clips." Plural. More than one. Yadda-yadda.

I said I tried the clips, I never said I listened to them. Nice try.

Do you own the OJ Simpson trial on DVD?

Sorry, but you also said:

No, I tried the samples, and didn't like them, so you can't say that.

and then...

Quote:

Yeah, I guess lying about listening is more effort than just ignoring it. What's the point?

Look at what you just wrote. "Tried". And I said "this". So you're agreeing with me.

Ultimately, Ken, I couldn't give a fuck whether you believe that I clicked on the link or not. All I know is that I've wasted enough of my time on this band, which has bought our once-friendly relationship ever closer to implosion. I won't bother even checking future nu-metal reviews of yours out, since I can see the end result.

Zad, it's not about you liking something or not, this is about you talking negatively about a band that you didn't listen to. Your own words are contradicting each other here. These bands are out there trying to make something happen for themselves, we review them and try and give them a very subjective review for those people that would be interested in something like this. People listen, too.

But when someone comes along and implies that they're not very good, people also listen. Unfortunately only one person between you and I listened to the music before they gave an opinion. Do you think that's fair?

I did listen to the sample that worked. And didn't like it. And said so. If the bands were really out for the best market, they'd realise that nu-metal's time has gone.

Either way, this thread has more responses than any other of the new ones, so I guess you suceeded, huh?
