Yeah, much better than Secrets of Life, which actually was pretty neoclassical at times, as well as Sonata-ish.

Great young, new band that straddles the line between metal and hard rock.

I really like Secrets Of Life. Platitude were a hell of a lot more progressive than Sonata, so I never really agreed with that genre description though they both shared neo-classical influences.

I'm actually kind of surprised to see this new release labeled as rock... I guess they changed their sound. Will either be a disappointing or interesting first listen for me.

Crims, I really think you'll dig Nine. It really is a great mixture of fine Melodic Rock and Power Metal without falling flat on its face.
