Believe it or not these are the study notes I made for Thursday's exam. I'm a visual person, so I remember images better than words. Each image is a clue to a technical term. For example, the point of Josh Holloway from Lost is that I'm remembering Halloway's theory of the mechanics of Metalanguage, which is comprised of ideational (the experiential purpose), interpersonal (the relationship between author and reader) and textual (how language expresses the first two points) elements.
C.S Lewis has his head on an RV. CS is for Context of Situation and RV is the Register Variables of field, tenor and mode.
The point is that you can remember even the most inane shit by making it into a funny picture that is easy to imagine.
