This is a very solid CD....great review after a few spins I still like Evil is Forever a little better.

actually, I like their debut better than any other of its followers... this one's just similar in composition and style to the 2 previous albums and that's why I cannot rate it higher than 65/100... so it's good but it could/should have been way better...

I'll probably listen to this eventually since AD are playing the Ragnarok Festival in November. 8) The singer's voice is a big draw.

I think this is on par with Of The Son And The Father, which I found to be better than Evil Is Forever. This is a killer rock album.

Awesome album for sure. Definitely more on par with their first album than the second. Evil is Forever was faster paced, more power metalish. I think Astral Door's strength is in the killer riffs and melodies of the more mid-tempo stuff like this album and the debut. I also love all the stereo (right to left) effects on this recording. Great fun, especially on headphones.

Astralism will be in my top-10 of 06. I'm pretty sure of that.

I just love the feel of this band. Dio-era Rainbow on STEROIDS! Modern yet old-school. Heavy as hell, melodic and well written. There is magic in Astral Doors and I've been captivated by their spell since I first heard Of the Son and the Father.
