God this is bad. I never really even liked the first one, but I definately like some of the songs on it. This however, is total crap. Bands just need to know when to quit. Helloween did the same thing with the THird Keepers album. WHY? Why do they insist on reliving past glories in a way that does little justice to their past successes?

Keeper 3 is better than the original two!

It is. It'll never have the same impact, but the songs are excellent on this new one and each of the previous two have some bad songs and filler tracks. The worst song on the new album is good.

agreed. totally. I can't listen to either of the first two without getting bored, but 3 can hold my attention all the way through.

I would say 3 is better than 1, but 2 is my favorite. 1 kinda feels like a slightly longer ep/demo-ish thing to me. If it wasnt for "Halloween" it would be almost empty.. Its still good though, dont get me wrong.

Wow, I can't believe this. I've heard Keepers 3, in fact i bought it, but I traded it after trying to listen to it more than four times. Its so fucking boring, and Andi Deris blows. Its watered down puke metal. The first two will never be topped. But I guess that just depends on what school of metal you come from. Eyesore is obviously from the heinously misinformed nu school.

But anyway you should send me the lyrics for that Dragon Warrior song, and no you can't rap on it.

Actually I am from no "nu" school of anything. Just because Keeper I and II had huge impacts on the metal world doesn't mean they're the cream of the crop! You have to look back in context of the metal world at the time, and yes, at the time they were excellent, but there were still songs that weren't very good on both those albums, and each had at least one instrumental filler track.

Saying the new Keeper album is boring and that Deris sucks reeks of someone trying to be "too metal."

And I'm not sending lyrics for a song I've not heard! Send me the music, I'll write and record the lyrics and we can roll. =) I promise, no rap.

Well... I can't agree with that, can't agree too with the ones that say Keeper III is boring and crap.

I think keeper III is a very good album, and could be a great album if were shorter (just one cd, I found it too long and with some fillers) and if its name wasn't Keeper.

But Keeper I and Keeper II are masterpieces. They are part of the history of metal, as classics whose influence is undeniable. And the music is great in both (Follow the sign is the only filler between both albums, INMO).

This was another Helloween, not the actual Helloween, that is good, but different. I really love The Dark ride as one of the best albums from them, Rabbits was awesome, and Keeper III is very good... But what the hell were they thinking to call it that way? I don't compare old Helloween with actual Helloween, but they force me to do with that name.

That's the problem too with operation mindcrime II. It's a good rock album, but musically has little in common with OM. Just lyrics are related, and I find first ones better than these. But the name forces to compare old Queensryche with new Queensryche. And well, actual one loses.

Perhaps it's my problem... But I prefer that the bands don't look at the past and follow they way.

(And what will be the next? Re-Master of Puppets? Painkiller II?... )

Exactly. The MP3s are of much lower quality, but that's how it goes these days. Some assholes steals from a band and then spams the net with his "opinion." I'd like to shoot those people.
