I never obtained The Knights of the Round, therefore I never finished the game.

uhm... you don't need to obtain The Knights of the Round to complete the game... it's hard work breeding chocobos... and it kinda ruin the final battle... one summoning and it's game over for the villain

I haven't seen it yet. But some of the students at the school I work at have and liked it.

Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within was decent. Nothing really spectacular, though, except for the CG.

Spirits Within was kind of crap...well maybe not so bad. It's just that it wasn't special, except for the visuals as said above. It could have had a different name and come from a different company just as easy.

Advent Children probably won't be as great if you aren't familiar with the game, but I absolutely loved it. I'm worried about the voice acting for the american version though.

Final Fantasy VIII was one of those games that was really fun for the first how many hours. Then, by around disk 3, it got really old. I HATED those guardian forces. Yeah, they look cool the first couple times you summon them. But having to see the same 35 second animation EVER FUCKING BATTLE (and in FF8, standard weapons were basically useless) grew really tiresome for me. Square really should've let you skip them with the touch of a button, but I guess they were just too in love with their own work to really think of that. FFIX = A Very Good Game IMO.

As for Advent Children, I do know a few people who have seen it. They say it's good. I myself may see it sometime. I thought Spirits Within was okay (if nothing really spectacular save for the amazing CGI).

I basically gave up on Chocobo Breeding after my chocobos kept losing those races at the Golden Saucer. Actually, Omnislash alone was enough for me to defeat Safer Sephiroth.

well i say FFVII IS OVERRATED,FFVI IS THE BEST OF THE BUNCH, about advent children no substance but good action and visuals with added content to the ones who have played 7, and is worth it.So if you have not played 6 go and download a snes emulator and start playing it, it has all that has 7 but more(characters, spells, summons, history)only thing is that there are no weapons like ultima or omega.

Buy this man a wacky hat, for he speaks the truth.

And how fuxing impossible was it to upgrade your shitty weapons? Grah, I don't want to spend 2 days running up and down a beech looking for tortoises that for some reason surrender adamantium screws when you kill them.

yeah.. that was one of the most annoying factors of FF8... upgrading weapons was too hard, and it hardly gave you noticeable difference in strenght - i usely would run through the game and upgrade before fighting the final boss, it's a bad idea, cuz some of the stuff you need for Squalls ultima weapon needs to be found earlier. Also, you can't equip armor or anything else in the game... Weapons and armors are one of the most important thing of RPG's :P

Exactly - how much of a big awesome grin would appear on your face in FF7 when you found some badass new piece of armour with loads of marteria slots?

a big one.. furthermore... ff7 and the earlier ff games gave you exp for defeating a boss... they need to do that again, so you do gain something from fighting for 20 minutes

I'll have to agree that FF8 sucks. I liked FF9 a lot; some retarded characters, but it was generally good. 6 and 7 are the best, and 4 and 5 are pretty damn good too.

That movie was fuckin sick if you ask me. I've seen it three times now. Only problem I had with it was that Sephiroth's dialogue sucked and they made him out to just be an asshole rather than a narcissistic heir to the planet.

FF8 is alright, but not that good, but FUCK, are you all insane!!!!!! FF9 is awesome!

ffx's st00pid spheres system sucked. no chance for differentiation, at the end all the characters are the same. At least ff9 had set classes, and materia could make characters kind of like classes.

But, i have spent 160 hours on ffx. :P

160 hours on FFX + 200+hours on FF7 - conlusion: you have too much sparetime

So far i have only completed FFX once.. tried to start all over again, but got bored... but the ultima weapons of FFX are quite destructive, and hard to get. So far i only got the main characters ultima sword fully upgraded. And it's quite handy. I remember fighting a giant monster that killed my party, one at a time with it's claw, except my man, who had his ultimate weapon, which made him avoid all physical damage, and at the same time counterattack

okay, i have completed FF7 8-9 times - 350 hours+

i have ALL the ultimate weapons in ffx 8)

but they actually get boring, as the easiest way to kill shit is just attack, and if your good enough do 99999 damage everytime.
