It doesn't look too bad. There's no oozing pus or anything of the like, and it doesn't look like it's swollen. If the skin starts getting hot to the touch, then I'd start to worry, but for now it looks like it's just a nasty scab. Of course, I'm not medically trained, I'm just speaking from 21 years of experience as an accident-prone person.

Nah, the redness is just the part of the rug burn that didn't peel the skin to the bone! Hahaha. It just looks nasty, but I'm a healthy dude and have never had to worry about infections and whatnot. I did notice, though, it's very similar to an satellite view of a lake. :lol:

You should submit that to Cannibal Corpse, see if they use it for their next album cover. As for the healing the rug burn, just use a lot of hydrogen peroxide, and clean it regularly, and use antibiotic creams. It should be fine. My skin gets like that for the smallest cuts, and I've never had a bad infection.
